IGTC Leadership and Organization

The IGTC General Assembly is the association's supreme authority and is composed of all members. IGTC holds a General Assembly at least once each year.

The IGTC Management Council manages the association’s day-to-day affairs and includes, as a minimum, a President, one Vice-President, a Treasurer, and a Secretary.

On November 15, 2024, the General Assembly elected the new Leadership:

  • President: Pat O'Shannassy, CEO of Grain Trade Australia (GTA)
  • Vice President: Erin Gowriluk, President of Canada Grains Council (CGC)
  • Secretary: Rosalind Leeck, Executive Director for Market Access & Strategy with the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC)
  • Treasurer: Gerald Masila, Executive Director of the Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC)

The North American Export Grain Association (NAEGA) provides for Association Management and staffing of the Secretariat. Staff include:

  • Alejandra Castillo, President & CEO, NAEGA
  • Mariya-Khrystyna Koziy, IGTC Secretariat
  • Patrick Hayden, Vice President, NAEGA
  • Thomas Erickson, Outside Counsel, NAEGA & IGTC   
  • Craig Fedchock, IGTC Innovation Emissary & NAEGA Senior Advisor

Geneva Office: Maria Clara Villegas

Transition Team: On September 27, 2024, the Management Council established a Transition Team to guide the IGTC through its ongoing transition. Krista Thomas and Rosemary Richards were appointed to the team, with their time generously contributed by the Canada Grains Council and Grain Trade Australia, respectively. Together, they are spearheading efforts to revitalize the IGTC Policy Teams and reassess the membership fee structure.
