The IGTC will be present in Cancún for the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 13) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), which includes the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP-MOP 8). The meetings take place from 4-17 December in Cancun, Mexico.

The Convention covers more than 85% of the world's grain trade, and has significant impact on the movement of Living Modified Organisms (LMOs).
