IGTC working together on the ISPM for grain

The UN’s International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) has reached a crucial stage in the drafting of its forthcoming “International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures” (ISPM) on the movement of grain. Once finalized, the ISPM will affect shipments of grain from the 183 government “Parties” to the Convention, and will therefore have a significant impact on grain trade operations worldwide. IGTC participants are committed to raising awareness of grain trade priorities and has identified priorities for a trade facilitative, science-led and workable standard. For more information grain trade experts from around the world can contact the Secretariat via Secretariat [at] igtcglobal.org.
