IGTC Objectives

The IGTC is a global organization that unites non-profit trade associations to produce timely and effective results in facilitating world trade.

The primary objectives of the IGTC are to establish policies that provide for the least distortive regulatory environment supportive of international trade and to prevent or reduce disruptions in the international trade of grain, oilseeds, pulses and derived products (agri-bulks).

The IGTC works to establish policies that provide for a regulatory environment supportive of international trade.

The IGTC achieves its purpose in cooperation with international organisations. The IGTC develops common positions on key issues impacting the global grain trade that are in line with IGTC’s strategic goals, communicating those positions through external advocacy, education and guidance to members and ultimately influencing governments and other relevant stakeholders and international organisations.
