Plans have been confirmed for a workshop on Codex Plant Guideline Annex 3: Food Safety Assessment in situations of low level presence of Recombinant-DNA Plants in Food, hosted by Canada, as the Secretariat of the Global Low Level Presence Initiative (GLI), in collaboration with the Government of Argentina.

Discussions will be led by government agencies and will be technical in nature. Trade and industry representatives, including the IGTC, will have the chance to present evidence to support discussions. The focus will be on the need for a sound, science-based, responsible and predictable regulatory environment.
