Pest risk assessment and the identification of import requirements are just two of the issues under discussion at the at the IPPC’s Expert Working Group on a new International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) on the movement of grain. The forthcoming ISPM will have a potentially significant impact on global trade flows and the IGTC will be present during the first stage of its drafting process from September 19-24 in Melbourne, Australia, in order to provide expertise from a grain trade perspective.
