The IGTC was present in Rome this week for the IPPC’s annual Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) – seen as the global ‘parliament’ of National and Regional Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs/RPPOs).  The IGTC was able to reach out to more than ten governments at the meeting, whose key aims in Rome were to discuss commodity standards; ePhyto certificates; as well as undertake a special session on ‘Minimizing pest movement by sea containers’. IGTC was accompanied by other industry observers such as the International Seed Federation (ISF) and the Seed Association of the Americas (SAA).
